1429 Uncharted Seas

Anyone who managed to avoid nodding off during history lessons at school, will already know that the 15th century was a pretty important time in the history of the world.

This was when European sailors started to set out to discover new worlds and fill in the blanks on their maps. It was also when they started to realise that maybe the darned place wasn’t flat after all.

However, if we go back to 1429 a map of the world would have looked, well, not entirely unlike the screen on 1429 Uncharted Seas. This exciting slots game from Thunderkick is set back in the days when people thought that the sea was filled with weird, mystical creatures.  This would help to explain why some of the symbols on here are things like mermaids and some fierce looking giant sea creatures. There are also beautifully drawn moon and sun symbols that make it seem even more like a classic old map that we are looking at, rather than reels on a modern slots game.

This is a 5 reel slots game with 25 pay lines, wagers per spin start at .10 coins to a maximum of 100.00, and the game has some rather interesting features that will most likely keep you coming back for more. It has a simple gameplay and as we know by now, this often the best type of game to keep you hooked for hours on end.

Expanding Wilds

You have a terrific chance of winning when the game’s Expanding Wild symbol appears and starts to fill up the entire reel it is on. You will only see this on reels 2, 3 and 4, when the ship symbol gets dramatically hoisted up onto the back of a giant sea serpent type creature. The Expanding Wild replaces any of the other symbols except the scatter.

Free Spins

Possibly even better than the Expanding Wilds on 1429 Uncharted Seas are the Free Spins. These are controlled by the ship’s compass symbol. When you see this useful symbol then, you know that you are in for some fun and japes on the high seas. See 3 of them at the same time, and you get 10 Free Spins in which to try and rack up some big wins. Get 4 of them, and you receive 20 spins, while 5 of them will see you spinning like crazy, with a total of 50 of them to try and win on. You are sure to pick up something from all those Free Spins, aren’t you?

Our Verdict

The old time sailing theme to the 1429 Uncharted Seas slot really engaged us straight away. It has been extremely well-designed and certainly looks every bit like an old fashioned sailing map, showing the strange creatures that sailors used to believe lurked in the depths. It is an entertaining sort of traditional slots game, with the Free Spins and Expanding Wilds giving the chance to win some extra cash and also enjoy a break from the main game. Overall, it is a cool little slots game that might captivate you and keep you playing away for a lot longer than you had originally planned.
