Top Cat

Blueprint Gaming has built a reputation as a slot developer that can design games based on famous TV shows. This week we are looking at the famous cartoon Top Cat. The cartoon tells the story of a group of humanoid alley cats that are based in Manhattan getting up to all sorts of mischief.

Blueprint has created a slot based on the characters, and it looks absolutely brilliant. The artwork is superb, and it looks just like the cartoon with all the characters present including Benny and Officer Dibble. We have since played it and detailed all our thoughts in our Top Cat review below.

Our Verdict:

If you feel like getting nostalgic then this will be the game for you. It looks like a modern version of the cartoon, and it is backed up with some fantastically playable content. The bonus features are superb and offer plenty of variety, and there are plenty of wild combinations to be had. We cannot get enough of it, and it is the epitome of what a modern slot machine should be. Definitely, give it a go if you are looking for new mobile slots to play as this one lets you play for a maximum jackpot of £250,000. We highly recommend it so check it out.

Wild Symbol:

With wild alley cats the centrepiece, we would expect some wild symbols and Top Cat doesn't disappoint with the big rotting blue fish representing the wild symbol for this game and it substitutes for most other symbols on the reel except for the scatter symbol which is a cool group portrait of all the main cat characters with the word "SCATTER" along it so you cannot really miss either of them. The scatter will activate the bonus features, but the wild helps you win big so watch out for both of them.

The Master Plan:

This is the main bonus feature, and it really gives the game its wow factor. It triggers when you land three or more of the bonus symbols anywhere on reels 1, 3 or 5 and then you have the option of selecting any one of the plans on the noticeboard that is displayed. The options are Construction Site Wilds, Dibble's Free Spins, Cash Picker Bonus or Diner Free Spins. Each offers a different reward and it is usually a combination of a random multiplier and some free spins. It is great fun and lands quite often.

Base Game Bonuses:

This is the 2nd bonus round, and it triggers randomly during the base game. Again, it is divided into 4 different mini-games which comprise of Benny's Colossal TVs, Spook's Mice is Nice, Choo's Piano Wilds and Brain's Water Wilds. Each offers the different player bonuses similar to The Master Plan, and you will definitely receive a lot of wild spins with this feature. This also triggers quite often, and we really enjoyed trying out all the different combinations. The two bonus features are certainly essential to the game and provide great strength and depth.
